Hi! I’m Brittany – but you can call me Britta. I’m a mama bear of two under two, an actress, a writer, a home design lover, an amateur plant enthusiast, an art and music junkie, a flea and farmers market regular, book nerd who loves the outdoors, sports, stand-up comedy and all things romantic. I believe in the power of a good laugh, a handwritten note, a prayer, a good sweat, and the beach. I get excited by fashion, but survive on basics and elevate with accessories. I’m always up for a road trip and ice cream, and perhaps a margarita… or two. I love a good TV show, amazing skincare products and anything by the Coen Brothers. I desperately want to learn to garden, bee keep and take a damn good picture. I live in Charleston, SC with my husband, baby brood and our two dogs.
about me
And now for the cliff notes -- I was raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky before heading to play soccer at Troy University in Alabama. After playing two seasons of D1 soccer, I decided to move my life to New York City to study acting, something I had always been interested in, but never thought to be a possibility. It was the most wonderful experience and I loved every minute of both studying acting and city living. I absolutely love the craft of building a character and a storyline, of diving into the subtext of plays and screenplays and working with creative people to bring a story to life. I miss that comradery and creativity. After studying at the William Esper acting studio and working in New York for some time, I decided to set my sights on Los Angeles to focus more on TV and Film. While there I worked on several TV shows, films and commercials, all while juggling a couple survival jobs and getting my BA in Film and Mass Media.
Eventually, I moved back to New York and began working as a fit model for the fashion industry until I needed a change of scenery and headed down to Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is where I met my wonderful husband and decided to put down some roots. I am very excited to share my insights and passions, little moments, big moments, favorite products, stories of a life lived traveling and pursuing a path that’s perhaps a little less linear than most. Thank you for dropping by and being here with me, and please feel free to reach out or leave a comment if you’d like.
